Temporary Protected Status (TPS)

 The Secretary of Homeland Security may allow Nationals of a Foreign Country to apply for Temporary Protected Status if the conditions in the Foreign Country are unsafe. A country may be designated as eligible for Temporary Protected Status if there is an ongoing conflict or a natural disaster in the foreign country.
